Welcome To DIY Granite Polishing

I’ve created this blog to talk about something I know a lot about, Granite Polishing. I’ve been installing ceramic tile, marble, granite, natural stones, and just about all the other hard surfaces for a number of years. I am not an amateur, I am a licensed, bonded and insured contractor in the tile and stone industry.

What your asking yourself right now is why would I want to share something that could take work away from me. Why would I give away the “trade secrets” of the stone business. Please, like this is really gonna hurt me or any other contractor with the information I share here. If your like me you do a lot of the things around your home yourself. I try to do all of my projects myself from framing and drywall to cabinets and plumbing, it gives me satisfaction for a job well done and saves me money too!

I am going to touch on all aspects of polishing your own granite or marble. I will cover the different types of stones, their characteristics, polishing results and what to expect out of them including granite, marble, travertine, slate and other natural stones.

I will inform you of the different polishing tools that are available for you to use like variable speed grinders and polishing discs. Cutting tools, equipment, installation techniques needed to complete the job and of course….secret methods and tricks of the trade to make your job easier.

But it doesn’t stop here folks, if you order today for $99……just kidding. I’m going to be as open and as honest as I can be and share what I know. I anticipate that I will share many other posts about tile techniques, contracting and well…just about anything else I feel like at the time…It is my blog ya know.
